⦿Vintage postcards : trains in orange groves

Once upon a time, you could ride a train right through the orange groves in Southern California

The Super Chief was one of the named passenger trains and the flagship of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway.
The streamliner was named “The Train of the Stars” because of the various celebrities it carried between Chicago and Los Angeles.

Florida had one too: the Orange Blossom Special,  between New York City and Miami.

  1. These well-seasoned postcards are so cool! I’ve always loved trains and oranges! 🙂 And we’ve lived very near orange groves…drove by them every day! 🙂 So these postcards you shared brought back good memories! Thank you! 🙂
